Hit the beach and get sandy

You're on an island after all so of course, the beaches are here for good vibes and good fun. Salty ocean air, narrow beaches covered in wave-washed rocks, and hidden coves make up the varying beachy landscapes of Parksville. And of course the classic sandy beach. Parksville locals love sand so much that they host the annual Parksville Sand Sculpting Competition, from mid-July to mid-August which is a global event and one of the biggest sand sculpting competitions in the world.
